Tasting Notes and Characteristics:

The first sip of Iron & Sand Cabernet Sauvignon wraps you in a plush embrace of ripe blackberries, dark cherry, and a whisper of toasted vanilla, instantly evoking the warmth of California’s sun-drenched vineyards. Crafted in the United States with an alcohol by volume of 14.50%, this Cabernet delivers bold yet balanced tannins that glide effortlessly alongside notes of cocoa and subtle spice. Its robust structure makes it a natural companion for a perfectly seared steak or slices of aged cheddar, where the wine’s depth amplifies savory flavors and lingers with a satisfying finish. If you crave a red that brings both power and polish to your table, Iron & Sand Cabernet Sauvignon is ready to elevate your next meal.

Producer Information: Hope Family Wines

Hope Family Wines, rooted in Paso Robles, California, began in the late 1970s when the Hope family planted apple orchards and grapevines on their Central Coast property. Shifting focus to viticulture as the region’s potential for premium wine became clear, they established their winery in 1995 under the guidance of Austin Hope. The estate is recognized for its sustainable farming practices and a hands-on approach that highlights Paso Robles’ diverse microclimates and soils. Their production style emphasizes bold expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon while also crafting varietals like Syrah and Chardonnay that reflect the area’s unique terroir. Beyond their flagship Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon, they produce labels such as Liberty School, Treana, Quest, and Troublemaker—each offering distinct interpretations of Central Coast fruit across red blends and single-varietal wines.
