Producer Information: Château Minuty
Château Minuty is based in the heart of the Côtes de Provence region, specifically on the Saint-Tropez peninsula in southern France. The estate was established in 1936 when Gabriel Farnet purchased and began restoring the property, which had originally been built under Napoleon III. Today, Château Minuty remains family-owned and is managed by Jean-Etienne and François Matton. Their production approach centers on sustainable viticulture, hand-harvesting grapes from estate vineyards, and employing modern winemaking techniques to preserve freshness and aromatic purity.
Beyond their signature rosé wines made primarily from Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah grapes, Château Minuty also produces a selection of white wines using varietals such as Rolle (Vermentino) and red wines featuring Mourvèdre. The winery has expanded its portfolio to include limited-edition cuvées that highlight specific terroirs within their vineyards. While they are best known for still wines, particularly rosé, they have not diversified into spirits or beer production; instead, their focus remains on crafting high-quality Provençal wines that express both tradition and innovation within French viticulture.
