Château Rauzan-Gassies, situated in the heart of Margaux within Bordeaux’s Left Bank, traces its origins to the 17th century when Pierre de Rauzan established the estate as part of a larger property that would later be divided into several prestigious châteaux. The estate’s vineyards benefit from deep gravel soils characteristic of Margaux, imparting finesse and aromatic complexity to their wines. Emphasizing traditional Bordeaux blending techniques, Château Rauzan-Gassies focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with smaller proportions of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, crafting wines that reflect both terroir and vintage variation.
