Producer Information: E. & J. Gallo Winery

E. & J. Gallo Winery, founded in 1933 by brothers Ernest and Julio Gallo in Modesto, California, emerged from the heart of the Central Valley’s agricultural landscape just after Prohibition ended. Their approach has always centered on harnessing the region’s fertile soils and Mediterranean climate to produce approachable wines for a broad audience while maintaining a focus on innovation and sustainable viticulture. Beyond their flagship Gallo Family Vineyards, they have expanded into premium labels like Louis M. Martini from Napa Valley and Orin Swift Cellars, as well as spirits such as New Amsterdam Vodka and E&J Brandy, reflecting a diverse portfolio that spans both traditional varietals and contemporary beverage trends rooted in California’s dynamic winegrowing regions.
