Tasting Notes and Characteristics:

The first sip of Sella & Mosca Cannonau Reserve 750ml wraps you in a warm embrace of sun-ripened cherries, wild herbs, and a whisper of Mediterranean spice, instantly transporting you to the heart of Sardinia. Crafted in Italy from the expressive Cannonau grape, this red wine delivers a harmonious balance between supple tannins and vibrant acidity, making each glass both inviting and complex. With an alcohol by volume of 13.50%, it’s robust enough to stand up beautifully to roasted lamb or aged cheese, where its notes of plum and subtle earthiness shine through. Whether shared at a lively dinner or savored quietly at home, Sella & Mosca Cannonau Reserve is an authentic taste of Italian terroir that lingers long after the last drop.

Producer Information: Sella & Mosca

Sella & Mosca, established in 1899 in Alghero on the northwest coast of Sardinia, was founded by engineer Edgardo Mosca and lawyer Erminio Sella, who transformed a wild expanse into one of Italy’s largest contiguous vineyards. Their approach blends meticulous vineyard management with a deep respect for the unique terroir of Sardinia, emphasizing indigenous grape varieties such as Torbato and Cannonau alongside international cultivars. The estate is particularly recognized for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and innovative winemaking techniques that highlight the Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich soils. Beyond their flagship Vermentino di Sardegna, Sella & Mosca crafts structured reds like Tanca Farrà and Marchese di Villamarina as well as aromatic whites including Terre Bianche Cuvée 161, each reflecting the distinct character of their coastal location.
